Sono passati dieci mesi dal devastante terremoto, la difficile ricostruzione è ancora in corso. Nonostante alcuni ritardi dovuti alla mancanza di benzina nel Paese, continuiamo ad assistere le famiglie di Kavre e Dolakha con cibo, farmaci, formazione, supporto all‘agricoltura e ricostruzione di case.
Cosa abbiamo fatto a dieci mesi dal terremoto?
La Fondazione Un Raggio di Luce è riuscita ad aiutare oltre 11mila persone.
- 6600 persone hanno ricevuto cibo, utensili da cucina, kit igienico-sanitari, sementi per il raccolto e fogli di lamiere per i tetti delle proprie abitazioni.
- 1200 persone sono state dotate di servizi igienici temporanei
- 100 donne di cui 50 in attesa e 50 in fase post-partum e i loro figli hanno ricevuto razioni alimentari specifiche per prevenire la malnutrizione
- 2240 persone hanno ricevuto assistenza finanziaria e sanitaria di base
- 3 dispensari e 1 ospedale hanno ricevuto i farmaci essenziali che gli mancavano
- 3 scuole hanno di nuovo i servizi igienici
- 3 acquedotti sono di nuovo funzionanti
La Fondazione in Nepal
Subito dopo il terremoto la Fondazione Un Raggio di Luce Onlus, assieme al partner locale Sarbodaya Nepal, ha lanciato un piano di emergenza per portare soccorso alle famiglie nei distretti di Kavre e Dolakha, due delle aree più colpite dal terremoto e dove la Fondazione opera dal 2005.Grazie ai generosi contributi della Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Pistoia e Pescia e della Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Lucca e al sostegno di singoli cittadini la Fondazione Un Raggio di Luce Onlus ha raccolto quasi 80mila euro per la popolazione colpita dal terremoto in Nepal.
Sono passati dieci mesi dal devastante terremoto, la difficile ricostruzione è ancora in corso.
Amore è la luce dello spirito Quando abbiamo bisogno della luce? Non durante il giorno, ma quando regna la notte. Allora ci occorre una lampada, una fiamma, la luna. Fate del vostro meglio per portare luce e amore nella vita di coloro che incontrate.
