In 2006 COOPI has put into action an initial health and nutrition project in Markounda, with the collaboration of UNICEF, PAM OMS, Caritas and The Red Cross, with the distribution of food and medicine to 68 villages (15,471 beneficiaries). The ‘Un Raggio di Luce‘ foundation has contributed €10,360. If the result is effective, they have organised a second operation in Paoua, for another 30,000 inhabitants, €12,500 has already been put together.
