The project is the continuation of project No.256, according to a multisectoral program in Jumla, a mountainous area in the northwestern part of the country. Fondazione Un Raggio di Luce , which operates in Nepal since 2005, has focused its work on improving the living conditions of women through a series of integrated interventions that will confront:
- Gender equality and women empowerment, which also includes micro-projects to lighten their workload
- Food security, which includes activities to promote agricultural productivity and the development of small income generating activities
- Basic health and sexual and reproductive health
The project is carried out in collaboration with the local NGO "Sarbodaya" whose name means "Let us all grow together", an organization created by Nepalese citizens working for years in the field of cooperation.
